We are always entangled in memories of the past and imagination of the future.
We are always entangled in memories of the past and imagination of the future.
Disturbance comes from the past and the future. The present is the truth, where there is peace and happiness. Therefore it is better to live in this moment... No one except humans is living in the future. That is why only this humans are troubled. Trees are not troubled. You do not see trees going to psychologist. Animals and birds are also not troubled. Have you ever seen lines of tension and restlessness on the face of any animal or bird? Have you ever heard of any animals or bird going mad in the natural state of the forest?
Yes, sometimes circus animals go mad because of humans. The responsibility for this lies with humans. No animal is made to live in a circus.
Imagine if there is a world of animals and man is locked in it, then what will be their condition?
Animals come to see and man is roaming around in the cage. In such a situation, man goes mad. Madness doesn't occur in the nature.
To be disturbed, a feeling of the past is needed, a feeling of the future is needed. Memories of the past are needed. The abuse that someone hurled at you ten years ago should still sting you. The abuse is gone, the person who hurled it is gone, time is gone, but it is still stinging you inside. You are holding on to it. You are carrying it. If the memories of years ago become a burden on your mind, you may become restless. Along with that, there should also be a future imagination that we will do this tomorrow. You will go mad being crushed between plans, imagination of the future and memories of the past. One who gets stuck between these two milestones can't escape.
The only truth is the present.
ReplyDeleteOttimo brano.

Hi!
ReplyDeleteMy Friend, Your post is interesting and reflective. You mentioned that we live in the future too. Rajani, I think our future is very much in question. Unfortunately, things are bad in the world, and it's getting worse and more dangerous.
Rajani, I salute you!
i like this experience of you. It´s positive and it can help some of us to center ourselves.
ReplyDeleteGenial
ReplyDeleteMarvellous.
ReplyDeleteNice reflection of the sky.
ReplyDelete"The abuse that someone hurled at you ten years ago should still sting you. The abuse is gone, the person who hurled it is gone, time is gone, but it is still stinging you inside."
ReplyDeleteForgiveness makes the sting go away.
Forgiveness is the pathway to freedom and inner peace. Living in the moment keeps us grounded.
ReplyDeletewise words, but forgiveness is not always possible...the image is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting thoughts. I'm not sure I agree with it all. But it's interesting.
Besos
ReplyDeleteForgiveness is the key. 🔑
ReplyDeleteNot everyone and not always live in peace at the present time, so they dream of a peaceful future. I also think that living in the present, but it does not always work out.

ReplyDeleteThank you for coming. You are very nice .
ReplyDeleteWell said :-D Great photo :-D

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful post! It reminds me of the passage in Matthew 6:26, which says, "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" Thank you for sharing, and thanks for visiting my blog too!
ReplyDeleteHello :) I came, and I'm interested in the human condition. I think living in the moment is the best way to live. It's better not to hold grudges and let bygones be bygones.

Maravilhosa semana!
I love the opening line. I do think animals do suffer emotions and pain, but we as humans chose not to see it so we could eat them and mistreat them. More and more you read about creatures holding their dead babies mourning or being comforted by other animals...
ReplyDeleteIt's true, but there is a part of our minds over which we have no control. The best we can do is recognize that we are fretting about the past or future and us the more conscious part of our brains to try to tamp those feelings down.
ReplyDeleteToo true! Thank you aloha!
ReplyDeleteBoa tarde, Rajani
The past is just that the past, we need to enjoy memories of times gone by and not stress over what may or maynot happen.

ReplyDeleteA very interesting post. Thank you for inviting me over.
ReplyDeleteI think it is good to imagine the future as we can improve our living. We are dynamic creations in a dynamic universe. We are not make to stay still. What is important is that we make right and humane choices.
Much♡love
Beautiful post and blog! thanks for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteThe present is the only time/place where we can work and hence that becomes the only truth.

The most important thing is to live in the present !!!!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you. It's worth realizing that the past isn't entirely the past, but only our memories. Looking back on it now, everything will look different – for example, relationships. Have a nice day :)

great experience...
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing
This is such a powerful reflection. 🌿 You’re absolutely right, peace truly exists only in the present moment. When we let go of clinging to past hurts and the constant pressure of the future, life feels lighter and more natural, just like the trees and animals you mentioned. It’s a beautiful reminder that happiness isn’t something we chase ahead or search for behind us it’s already here, waiting in the now.

ReplyDeleteMuy cierto!

Nice post! However I do see lines of tension on animals. They are often scared or afraid. They get nervous. They get impatient. They think I'm nuts sometimes. All I have to do is look at my 2 dogs to know they have a whole bunch of emotions-but you are right, they do live in the moment. Which we all should do.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. It's a great experience, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYes, think how nice it would be to be able to live completely in the present. It's something I try and unfortunately only succeed at periodically, then the anxiety comes back. When someone comes your way that reminds you of the past, you are sometimes thrown into a behavior and a feeling that is really long gone... Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteBoa terça-feira e bom início de mês outubro.

ReplyDeleteHola Rajani.

ReplyDeleteRajana querida,
ReplyDeleteVocê andou sumida ou é
impressão minha?
Como lhe disse lá no Espelhando,
aqui estou para me enriquecer com
sua publicação.
Concordo plenamente com cada
pontuação que ele faz.
Somos realmente seres felizardos
e muitos nunca se darão conta
disso, infelizmente.

Bel article, on
de nous dans le monde, tout va mal ;
Perso on essaie de savourer les petits bonheurs quotidiens, on se projette

Passez une bonne journée, une agréable semaine.

Boa terça-feira. Com muita paz e saúde. Uma dia maravilhoso.
ReplyDeleteBello questo post!
ReplyDeleteSi.
ReplyDeletePerhaps this is why Jesus said we must "Forgive others seventy times seven", because every time the "stinging" comes to mind, we must forgive again.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, simple, and profound thought, that the present is the truth, where all peace and happiness actually exists. It's so true that only humans seem entangled in the memories of the past and the imagination of the future, and that's why we are so troubled, isn't it? The observation about trees and animals, having no lines of tension, really brings home the point about the natural state of existence. Holding on to old hurts is such a burden, and being crushed between the past and future plans sounds exhausting. A wonderful reminder to just live in this moment.
ReplyDeleteYou've been visiting my blog and wanted me to read yours. Sorry but i disagree that peace is in the present. It is only found in Christ. However, it's so important to LIVE in the moment. To embrace what God has for you today. Future plans are fine but in reality it is God who orders our steps.

ReplyDeleteThis piece of writing is reflective as usual. I think the past, present and future are difficult to separate from each other. Yes, live the present, like it or not!
ReplyDeleteSo very true. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSo beautifully said — and so true. 🌿 The way you described being caught between the weight of the past and the pull of the future really resonates. It’s such a powerful reminder that peace can only be found in the present moment. Letting go is never easy, but it’s the only way to truly feel free. 💫🕊️
